Taco Mamacita NashvilleThis week, we decided to head down to Edgehill Village and try one of the area’s go to taco joints, which also happens to be dog friendly.  Taco Mamacita has been a staple in this part of town since it opened in 2009.  Located at the corner of Villa Place and Edgehill Ave, the restaurant is hard to miss thanks to their iconic round sign, which spans the entire length of their patio.

After we were seated, our server brought out water for Max, Tacoswhich always wins kudos points with us!  One thing I really liked about Taco Mamacita is their extensive list of tacos and the fact that you can pick one of each instead of ordering three of the same thing.  We’re all about food exploration and it was fun to try the different variations.

Maxing out NashvilleWe decided to go with the Memphis, Caribbean Jerk and California Club Taco.  Of the three, the California club was probably our favorite, but they were all very good.  Max on the other hand, seemed not to care which variety of taco he got as long as he got his fair share.  If you get two tacos, you can also choose a side, so we went with my husband’s weakness: sweet potato fries.

If tacos aren’t your thing, they also have soups and salads on their menu as well as a couple other dinner plate options.  Taco Mamacita has always been very lively every time we’ve made our way over there and we definitely recommend it if you’re looking for good food and a fun atmosphere.
