Looks like there continues to be increased interest for families and businesses that are looking to relocate to Nashville. The Nashville Business Journal just reported that there are 69 active relocation and expansion projects that the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce is working on.
Janet Miller, the chamber’s chief economic development officer stated that these projects represent 17,000 new jobs in corporate operations, manufacturing, supply chain management and of course the music industry. While the projects are not finalized, it is an encouraging sign for the future of Nashville commercial real estate.
Leading The Way In Relocation and Job Growth
The chamber has done an excellent job of drawing interest to our city. Miller stated that last year Nashville led the nation in job growth for metro areas with over 1 million in population and is only behind the city of Houston so far this year.
With so many people relocating to Nashville, there are worries that it will take away the charm of the city. I think if done right, with enough future planning, we can continue to grow while maintaining the unique identity of the city.
