One thing we love about Nashville, is that we never run out of dog-friendly restaurants to take Max to. This week, we checked out one of Nashville’s hidden gems (literally…..it’s tucked away in an alley behind Taco Mamacita in Edgehill Village). You could easily walk right by if you didn’t already know it was there, but Bella Napolli does a great job to catch your attention, with lights strung throughout the alley. This creates the perfect ambiance for any Italian cuisine.
As the name suggests, Bella Napoli serves authentic Napoli dishes. We decided to go with the the Parma pizza, which was topped with fresh mozzarella, diced tomatoes, arugla, Parma prosciutto and parmigiano. The style of pizza is very thin and true to their Napoli roots, they don’t cut the pizza before serving it, which apparently prevents the crust from getting too soggy. Who knew? Once we decided to actually cut the pizza and eat it, we were definitely more than pleased with our choice.
It’s also worth mentioning that our server was quite possibly the best we have had so far in Nashville. She was super attentive and had a great personality. The owner was also very friendly and stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying our meal. With the ambiance and personal touch Bella Napoli provides, this is the best way in Nashville to experience a little slice of Italy, without crossing the pond.
In an area like Edgehill Village that is seeing massive growth and revitalization, I think it’s safe to say that Bella Napoli will remain a staple in this neighborhood. Also, I’d like to add a little bonus material to this article……if you’re looking to continue the Italian vibe after dinner, there is an excellent gelato place next door called Legato Gelato, which was a perfect way to end the evening.
